JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) project aims to provide immediate and effective humanitarian assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in crisis-affected areas. As part of the project, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Field Assistant to support the implementation and coordination of field activities specifically targeting IDPs.

POSITION DESCRIPTION/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of field activities related to the project.
  • Conduct assessments and data collection to identify the needs and vulnerabilities of IDPs.
  • Support the registration and verification of IDP beneficiaries, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of data.
  • Coordinate the distribution of RRM kits to IDPs, ensuring fair and equitable access.
  • Monitor the distribution process and ensure compliance with distribution guidelines and SOPs.
  • Conduct regular field visits to IDP sites to assess the impact of interventions and gather feedback from beneficiaries.
  • Collaborate with local authorities, community leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and participation in project activities.
  • Contribute to the development of field reports, success stories, and lessons learned.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Senior Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma (with three years’ experience) or Bachelor’s degree (with one year), preferably in emergency response or IDP assistance.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel & word).
  • Good accounting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders in challenging environments.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • English knowledge is an asset.
