JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) project aims to provide immediate and effective humanitarian assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in crisis-affected areas. As part of the project, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Field Facilitator to support the implementation and coordination of field activities specifically targeting IDPs.

POSITION DESCRIPTION/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate community engagement and participation in RRM project activities, ensuring the inclusion of IDPs in the project.
  • Conduct sensitization sessions and information dissemination to ensure that IDPs are aware of available assistance, project objectives, and their rights.
  • Coordinate and facilitate community meetings, focus group discussions, and other participatory processes to gather feedback.
  • Assist in conducting assessments to identify the needs, priorities, and vulnerabilities of IDPs.
  • Support the registration and verification of IDP beneficiaries, ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of data.
  • Collaborate with local authorities, community leaders, and other stakeholders to promote positive working relationships and ensure effective coordination of project activities.
  • Monitor and report on the progress, challenges, and impact of field activities, including identifying and addressing any gaps or issues arising during implementation.
  • Contribute to the development of field reports, success stories, and lessons learned.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the line Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Sociology, Social Work, or relevant experience in community engagement, facilitation, or similar roles, preferably in humanitarian or development projects.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of community mobilization and participatory approaches
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders in challenging environments.
