Youth and Women Empowerment

Status overview:

Yemen is the poorest Arab country and one of the least developed countries in the world. The United Nations National Millennium Development Goals report predicted that the government was unlikely to achieve many of its goals, such as halving extreme poverty and hunger.

While the youth themselves do not threaten Yemen’s stability, their situation is nevertheless dangerous. Since the outbreak of the war in 2015, young people have faced many tough challenges in obtaining opportunities to develop themselves and provide for their families in light of successive economic crises, an accelerating economic collapse, and a rising Unemployment rate.
