JOB DESCRIPTION: 

FMF is implementing an Integrated Health &Nutrition Project in Ahwar and Khanfir districts of Abyan governorate and Al-Khawkhah district of Al-Hudaydah governorate to deliver quality integrated health and nutrition services to the beneficiaries. Health and Nutrition Field Assistant who is the following: –

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Health and Nutrition Field Assistant oversees all the FMF health and nutrition activities in the targeted districts. 
  • Coordination with all the stakeholders (GHO, DHO and other IPs) to ensure smooth implementation of the project.
  • Ensure health facilities and other project implementation sites have all the required inputs to enable them to implement a quality program.
  • Conduct regular supportive supervision of the targeted static HFs and mobile health and nutrition activities.
  • Compile and submit a quality supervision report with action points after each supervision report and follow up on the action points.
  • Ensure all health facilities and MMCs have adequate drugs, medical supplies and vaccines to smoothly run activities.
  • Organize and supervise mobile health activities including preparing schedules, ensuring all supplies are available and vaccines are received
  • Ensure the availability of the required registration books, reporting formats, beneficiary cards and other recording and reporting tools in all HFs and MMCs.
  • Conduct on-the-job training for the staff on using records and reporting formats.
  • Provide technical support for the HCWs and CHNVs and build their capacity when needed.
  • Conduct regular meetings with community leaders and health committees to get feedback on the quality of the program and update them on the progress of activities
  • Any other tasks assigned by the line manager.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine, Public Health or any related medical field.
  • One year of experience in Health and Nutrition Projects
  • Previous trainings in (CMAM, IMCI or MISP) are essential
  • Previous experience in coordination with GHO, DHO and community committees and leaders
  • Reporting Skills are Required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership skills are highly preferred.
  •  problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a resource-constrained environment are highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Very good English and Arabic Languages.
