Field medical foundation (FMF)

FMF is a non-profit and non-governmental organization aiming to provide health, nutrition, food security and protection services as a humanitarian response to the escalating socio economic situation in Yemen since 2012.

FMF is implementing general food Assistance project targeting acutely food insecure IDPs living in deplorable conditions in collective centers or with host families in Mocha and Tarim districts. We need  Filed Monitors who perform the following:

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Monitoring the process of the cash assistance distribution on the CBT outlets.
  • Reporting any violation or exploitation on wok procedures or beneficiaries by cash exchange agents or anyone of the workers immediately to direct supervisor.
  • implementing spot-check for the process of cash distribution and the absence of any irregularities by any party such as the deduction from the beneficiaries’ cash assistance.
  • Ensuring that cash distribution criteria are followed by monitoring any imbalances during the activity.
  • Timely submission of the daily cash distribution report to direct supervisor
  • Timely submission of final report after each distribution cycle to the district coordinator and project officer.
  • Conducting PDM activity with a sample of beneficiaries at each cycle during the CBT distribution.
  • Receiving the complaints from the beneficiaries or those who meet criteria and not appear on cash lists, and also receiving the technical complaints that encounter the beneficiaries during the distribution cycle and raise the issues via emails + Kobo toolbox to the project officers on a daily basis.
  • Collect materials for the success stories for quarterly report based on the vulnerability level.
  • Perform any other duties related to the job that may be assigned by the direct supervisor as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree Social Sciences, Economics or related fields
  • Experience in community mobilization and capacity building
  • 1-2 years community work experience, preferably related to the type of project
  • Excellent skills in monitoring implementation of program activities.
  • Able to travel to remote rural area including overnight staying.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication verbally and in writing as well as inter-personal skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly to field sites
  • Become conversant with the various generic tools such as assessment and survey techniques and questionnaires.
  • Good computer skills
