C4D Field Officer

Overall responsibility:

Improved capacity, skills, and competencies of C4D Supervisor and volunteers and to provide quality Community education services at community levels.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist the C4D Manager in Supervising the work of the coordinators in the three target governorates and follow up their work regularly and receive monthly reports and the work of regular feedback.
• Monthly field supervision to the targeted governorates to evaluate mobile team workers (C4D Supervisors ) and Community Volunteers Performance during education.

• Collect and compile baseline information on child protection/health/nutrition/education/ and wash parameters of the program areas and design community-based program profile.

• With coordination with C4D supervisors develop a clear work plan for community education activities, and share it with community volunteers and the stakeholders from the public health sector.

• Lead and facilitate the field teams in implementing the work plan in the ground.

• Keep close coordination and liaison with the field team, community, and partners and assist them in developing high-quality Community education.

• Assist the C4D Supervisor in organizing community meetings, workshops, and campaigns.

• Take the lead in resolution and management of the relevant community conflicts over common issues related to the program.

• Regularly monitor field activities, maintain a working relationship between team members and the community.

• Design and plan for all types of Campaigns and assist in conducting assessments and surveys as needed.

• Organize training and exposure to improve the knowledge and skill of the program communities and volunteers to deliver high-quality community-based activities.

• To participate in developing Community volunteer guidelines following the Ministry of health policy.

• Document and share lessons learned, achievements, and successes from the field.

• To collect the monthly reports from C4D Supervisor, revise them, and provide feedback to the field team.

• Develop monthly narrative achievement report compiled with statistic report to the C4D program Manager.

• To conduct a monthly meeting with C4D Supervisor to discuss all related issues and to put a plan for the coming period.

• Conduct frequent field visits to the targeted locations and provide a report with the outcome of the visits.

• To take any other relevant task given by the C4D Programme Manager.

Knowledge and Experience: 

• A University Degree in social/behavioral sciences, (Sociology Psychology, Health, Education) with an emphasis on strategic communication for behavior development, social mobilization.

• A minimum of 2 years in awareness and behavior changes projects.

• Very Good knowledge of English.

• Able to Communicate, work with people, and drive for results.

• Analysis, planning, and organizing skills.

• Ability to write reports in both English and Arabic language professionally.

• Be a team player and ready to collaborate with others positively.

• Honest, hardworking, and committed to community development.
