JOB SUMMARY:

The Hadramout Governorate Coordinator (Head of Office) plays a critical role in leading and coordinating FMF’s operations within the Hadramout Governorate. As the Head of Office, you will oversee all program implementation, staff management, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of humanitarian assistance to the communities in need.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Full-time position based in Hadramout Governorate, with frequent travel within the governorate and potential travel to other parts of Yemen.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program Management:

  • Oversee the implementation of all FMF projects and activities in Hadramout according to approved plans, schedules, budgets, and M&E indicators.
  • Monitor progress, identify potential challenges, and implement corrective actions to ensure timely and successful project completion.
  • Coordinate with the program department on reporting, data collection, and analysis to contribute to program improvement and resource allocation.

Staff Management:

  • Lead and motivate a team of field staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective program implementation.
  • Conduct regular performance appraisals, identify training and development needs, and implement capacity-building initiatives for the team.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment within the office.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, government officials, donors, partner organizations, community leaders, and the NGO community.
  • Represent FMF at relevant meetings, forums, and events within Hadramout.
  • Advocate for the needs of vulnerable populations and promote FMF’s work and impact.

Security and Risk Management:

  • Conduct regular security assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of staff and beneficiaries.
  • Monitor the security situation in Hadramout and adapt program activities as necessary.
  • Report any security incidents promptly and follow established protocols.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Supervise regular reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) on program progress, achievements, challenges, and resource utilization.
  • Maintain clear and concise communication channels with FMF Aden, donors, and partners, providing timely updates and information.
  • Effectively communicate FMF’s programs and impact to stakeholders and the public.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, development studies, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with INGOs in program management, coordination, or implementation in a humanitarian or development context.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team of staff in a complex and challenging environment,
  •  work experience in Hadramout and well understanding of the context of Hadramout
  • Strong understanding of the humanitarian context in Yemen, particularly in Hadramout.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic (both spoken and written) is essential.
  • Proficient in computer applications (Microsoft Office suite, data analysis software).
  • Demonstrated commitment to FMF’s values of professionalism, integrity, and compassion.
