About FMF:

The Field Medical Foundation (FMF) has been operating in Yemen for since 2012 during even the most dangerous peak of the conflict in the region. Our staff of dedicated professionals and passionate volunteers are the helping hand that delivers aid from local and/or international partners to those who require it the most, in a country that was already suffering before the war. Today we have helped humanitarian aid reach the hands of more than 9 million vulnerable people in Yemen to help them not only to survive but also to rebuild their lives. We aim to provide a comprehensive approach to providing aid through interventions, which is why we work in almost all sectors of international emergency relief. 

Position Summary:

The Project Coordinator (FFT) will be based in the target district and reports to the Project Officer and will lead the implementation of Food for Training (FFT) activities at the district level. He /She is responsible for coordinating and ensuring the smooth implementation of project interventions in adherence to FMF’s project management. She will also be representing FMF into all relevant stakeholders’ meetings/coordination in the area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordination with local authorities represented by the district manager and other governmental offices , during project phases.
  •  Formation and train the community committees in the target district with cordination with local authorities.
  • Conduct workshop for the community committees for 3 levels (District-Sub-district and villages to explain and clarify project, aim of project and targeting mechanism.
  • Explain and clarify registration form for the community committees.
  • Work closely with field team in the implementation of program activities.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed weekly and monthly work plans that support and achieve the overall program timeline.
  • Guarantee community involvement at all phases of the project to ensure the development of community ownership for the project.
  • Implement projects as planned, respecting schedules and timelines.
  • Supervise workers, suppliers, and contractors working for training in the targeted area.
  • Ensure timely submission of daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Coordinate and oversee Field team performance
  • As needed, provide regular feedback to the project team and monitor the implementation of a work plan to improve the program’s quality and achieve timeliness.
  • Support the field team in strengthening and promoting community engagement processes in the project areas, particularly identifying project beneficiaries, assessing their needs and addressing and resolving community issues.
  • Perform and document regular monitoring of all project activities in close coordination with M&E team.
  • Conducting field visit to the training centers to follow up the training.
  • Solve the problems in the field during implement the activities.
  • Assist in the collection of data, and assessment.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all people involved in project implementation and maintain the highest standards of behavior when working with the project beneficiaries;
  • Any other assignments as directed by the Line Manager.

Position Requirements:

  • At least 2 years’ professional experience in a comparable position.
  • Strong experience in coordinating and planning of Project activities.
  • Strong team leadership and technical expertise are critical.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, tasks efficiently.
  • Essential knowledge of English language is required.
  • Good working knowledge of computer applications (e.g. MS Office and Excel).
  • Flexible to work under pressure and remote areas.
  • Good writing and reporting skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
