The Field Medical Foundation (FMF) has been operating in Yemen for since 2012 during even the most dangerous peak of the conflict in the region. Today we have helped humanitarian aid reach the hands of more than 9 million vulnerable people in Yemen to help them not only to survive but also to rebuild their lives. We aim to provide a comprehensive approach to providing aid through interventions, which is why we work in almost all sectors of international emergency relief.

Key responsibilities:

    • Receive goods arriving to the store by checking their status, checking amounts in waybill, reporting any incidents and discrepancies to the Line Manager.
    • Prepare outgoing items in a clean and optimized way, in particular.
    • Appropriately packing and sealing and labelling goods.
    • Assisting with recording the exits on stock cards and project forms.
    • Ensure good quality of cold chain in case it is needed.
    • Ensure that goods are well organized and stored in a clean area to be visible and traceable, in particular:
    • Assist in the monthly stock inventory (physical stock count).
    • Ensure that the temperature in the store is appropriate and items that require cold chain are correctly stored.
    • Store items according to nature or use following protocols and instructions from the Line Manager.
    • Carry out basic maintenance of the store, ensuring security conditions (keep out staff without authorization, locking, etc.) and looking after the equipment provided.
    • Help MSF staff carry heavy items, and offload cargo received/load cargo to be dispatched as necessary.
    • Staff are not allowed to chew QAT during working hours.
    • Under no circumstances are firearms/weapons allowed in MSF vehicles or on MSF premises.
    • The above-mentioned activities and responsibilities are not exhaustive, and staff may be assigned additional responsibilities or tasks as required.

Position requirements

  • At least 1 year experience in relevant position.
  • A university degree or diploma degree.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Good English language skills.
