FMF is a non-profit and non-governmental organization aiming to provide health, nutrition, food security and protection services as a humanitarian response to the escalating socio-economic situation in Yemen since 2012.

Job Description:

According to 2019 Humanitarian Needs, acute malnutrition among children under the age of 5 is estimated at just over 2 million children, including nearly 360,000 Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) cases. Given that a child with severe acute malnutrition is 11 times more at risk of death than a healthy child, preventing, detecting and treating malnutrition among children and improving IYCF practices are essential life-saving interventions that will contribute significantly to reducing the impact of the ongoing conflict on children in Yemen. Due to the current situation, FMF is proposing a project that aims to detect, prevent and treat acute malnutrition among the most vulnerable population (children under five ‘land pregnant and lactating women (PLW).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Management of all the data provided by the field regarding nutrition.
  • Assist the Officer to enter weekly and monthly report into health and nutrition data base after he/she receive it from health and nutrition Officer. And ensure that all information entered is correct and valid.
  • Analysis of all the data to make it presentable for management when required.
  • Feedback the Line manager about the common mistakes in the reports to be corrected and checked again with medical staff at health facilities.
  • Assist the officer to report regularly health and nutrition data for program coordinator and program manager.
  • Assist the Officer to analyze the data and make report against the indicators of the program to see the level of the achievement.
  • Designing, updating, Cleaning, Maintenance and backing up of various databases.
  • To help in conducting Nutrition surveys and assessments staring from planning up to data analysis and assessment report.
  • Working effectively as team member with the field team to improve the quality of the health and nutrition data.
  • Providing assistance to the office staff in preparation of documents, presentations, Spreadsheets, etc.
  • Assisting coordinator in preparation of weekly/ Monthly progress reports.
  • To take any other relevant task given by the supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in information technology or higher degree
  • Minimum of two years’ experience working as a data entry, or other relevant field
  • Organizational abilities and previous experience of working with NGOs.
  • Native Arabic with good professional English, both written and spoken.
  • Good computer literacy (MS word and Excel mainly).
  • Willing to work in challenging environment and extra-hours if and when requires
  • Problem solving and leadership skills.
