With funding from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the FMF distributed the third entry “Poultry” as part of the activities of the project to support small farmers in Lahj Governorate, Taban District.

The project targeted 50 beneficiary families, where 500 laying hens, 100 bags * 40 kilos of chicken feed, and 50 chicken houses were distributed for each beneficiary, with 10 chickens, 2 feed bags, and a chicken house.

An educational session was also held and brochures were distributed about raising poultry in the right way, which contributes to producing eggs well.

It should be noted that the project aims to distribute 3000 chickens in Lahj governorate, districts of Tuban, Al Mallah and Radfan, and Abyan governorate, directorates of Rasd, Ahwar, and Moodia, and it also worked on the distribution of seed and livestock inputs during the last period.
