Background

FMF is a non-profit and non-governmental organization aiming to provide health, nutrition, food security and protection services as a humanitarian response to the escalating socio-economic situation in Yemen since 2012.

Duties and Responsibilities: –

  • Coordination with local authorities represented by governor, district’ manager, during implement project phases.
  • Overall technical support necessary for the project – designing, planning and costing inputs (labor, finance, and materials), technical assistance and capacity-building support to staff, site supervisors and group leaders to produce outputs; coordination of day-to-day activities.
  • Work closely with Project management to ensure all gaps covered and will provide technical support for the project reporting and food for asset activities implementation to ensure all gaps covered and will provide technical support for the project reporting and GFD & CBT activities implementation
  • Support staff to sensitize the targeted communities, mobilize and organize eligible beneficiary households to participate in the project activities.
  • Work with other team members to develop clear, realistic and achievable work plans for carrying out GFD & CBT activities as per the predefined guidelines and instructions.
  • Develop weekly and monthly work plans.
  • Facilitate and collaborate with the MEAL team to ensure that baseline and end-line surveys, onsite monitoring, and PDM are carried out in an appropriate and timely manner and that complaint and feedback mechanisms are in place.
  • Participate in follow-up and monitoring of the progress of the project activities implementation in the targeted areas, ensuring high-quality delivery.
  • Supervision for Prepare accurate lists of targeted areas/villages/neighborhoods for project activities with detailed justifications in close collaboration with the field officers and district coordinators.
  • Supervise and be responsible for all technical aspects of daily project implementation, ensure they are completed in a timely, efficient and accurate manner. Also ensure quality implementation.
  • Work closely with project team and site supervisors to ensure that the program is implemented.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports and send them to the Deputy Program Coordinator.
  • Schedule regular visits to targeted areas.
  • Any other assignments as directed by the line manager.

Job requirement:

  • A university degree in the field of humanitarian assistance and/ or development, economics and management, political and social studies with a management focus.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in the field of Livelihood working with INGOs/NGOs
  • Previous experience working in Food security programme is an advantage.
  • Three years’ experience in program implementation (Food security project activities).
  • Practical and theoretical knowledge on community mobilization and development in conflict-affected areas.
  • Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must be able to advise staff on program and office activities and security issues.
  • Ability to effectively represent the organization and its program to government officials, local civil society organizations, other international organizations.
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office programs, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written English skills with ability to draft and edit program reports.
  • Ability to think independently and problem solve.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Honest, hardworking and committed to community development.
