ABOUT FMF:

The Field Medical Foundation (FMF) has been operating in Yemen for since 2012 during even the most dangerous peak of the conflict in the region. Our staff of dedicated professionals and passionate volunteers are the helping hand that delivers aid from local and/or international partners to those who require it the most, in a country that was already suffering before the war. Today we have helped humanitarian aid reach the hands of more than 9 million vulnerable people in Yemen to help them not only to survive but also to rebuild their lives. We aim to provide a comprehensive approach to providing aid through interventions, which is why we work in almost all sectors of international emergency relief.

POSITION DESCRIPTION/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Document Verification: Ensure coherence between orders, quotations/offers, purchase orders, call for tender documentation, procurement memo, contract, invoices, receipts, and works/services completion certificates.
  • Data Entry: Accurately record all transactions in cash and bank books and Excel Sheets.
  • Banking Support: Keep a bank balance-tracking sheet up to date and coordinate with the program coordinator for bank balance in local and foreign currency.
  • Digital Archiving: Scan all contracts and other financial documents as well as supporting documents on a regular basis.
  • Filing System: Ensure a proper and adequate filing system for financial documents and oversee the maintenance of accounting records.
  • Reporting Support: Facilitate timely submission of financial and donor reports as required by providing necessary documentation.
  • Data Uploads: Ensure that all scanned documents are scanned and forwarded/received to the specified link on a monthly basis and forwarded to project management on agreed dates.
  • General Support: Carries out other finance, administrative, and support duties as assigned by the line manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking   or any Social   Sciences.
  • Good computer skills in MS Office programs, particularly Excel.
  • At least two years previous experience in relevant work
  • Accuracy in the processing of cash transactions, mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Honesty and integrity in all work activities.
  • Monthly bank reconciliations with no outstanding items.
  • Willingness to work additional hours in order to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good oral and written English skills
