The Field Medical Foundation (FMF) has been operating in Yemen for since 2012 during even the most dangerous peak of the conflict in the region. POSITION PURPOSE
To support and strengthen the pharmaceutical management system in the supported health facilities and ensure the proper use of medicines and medical supplies.
POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor the use of medicines to ensure they are used appropriately and efficiently.
- Track pharmaceutical stock across facilities, including regular updates on inventory levels.
- Maintain a simple medicine tracker for facility pharmacies.
- Follow up on stock levels, expiry dates, and potential risks of overstock or stock-out.
- Coordinate with facility staff for timely and accurate reporting of medicine stock.
- Support proper storage and dispensing of medicines.
- Minimize medicine wastage through stock monitoring and timely interventions.
- Provide simple reports or data to support stock replenishment and rational medicine use.
- Assist with filing and organizing medicine records and stock documents.
- Update simple spreadsheets or tracking tables for medicines and supplies.
- Support preparation of basic reports and summaries for supervisors.
- Communicate with facility staff to clarify or collect required data.
- Assist in basic administrative tasks related to pharmacy management.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Medical background
- Ability to conduct field visits across multiple governorates.
- No previous experience required.
