ABOUT FMF:
The Field Medical Foundation (FMF) has been operating in Yemen for since 2012 during even the most dangerous peak of the conflict in the region. Our staff of dedicated professionals and passionate volunteers are the helping hand that delivers aid from local and/or international partners to those who require it the most, in a country that was already suffering before the war. Today we have helped humanitarian aid reach the hands of more than 9 million vulnerable people in Yemen to help them not only to survive but also to rebuild their lives. We aim to provide a comprehensive approach to providing aid through interventions, which is why we work in almost all sectors of international emergency relief.

ABOUT THE PROJECT:
FMF is implementing an emergency response in Hays and Al Khawkha Districts of Al Hodeida Governorate. The response focuses on providing integrated preventive and curative nutrition and health services to vulnerable populations, including under-five children, pregnant and lactating women (PLW), persons with disabilities (PWD), and other marginalized groups. The assistance is being provided in both the host community and internally displaced persons (IDP) sites.
- Develop and train a team of Community Health and Nutrion Volunteers, and other community service providers.
- Supervise and support Community Health and Nutrition Volunteers and mother support groups within the overall Health and Nutrition program.
- Developing and monthly and quarterly work plans, including messages to be prioritized demonstrations to take place.
- Make a list of priorities in terms of information and awareness on health, nutrition, hygiene and care practices messages.
- Organize and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and awareness campaigns.
- Promote the project’s objectives and activities to community members through various communication channels.
- Conduct monthly meeting with community health volunteers to discuss all related issues and to put plan for the coming period.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and relevant stakeholders.
- Mobilize and engage community members to actively participate in project activities, such as training sessions, workshops, and events.
- Provide regular updates and reports on community mobilization activities, progress, and challenges to the project team.
- Prepare and submit activity reports as required.
- Adapt the methodology and health education support to the relevant public in order to make them attracted.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the line manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- A degree in Sociology, Social Work or any related field.
- Work experience in Community mobilizing in nutrition activities
- Good interpersonal relationship and communication skills.
- Ability to handle a large volume of work and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational and planning skills attention to detail.
- Preferable from the same Gov and district as well
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
