POSITION SUMMARY
The District Coordinator Assistant will be responsible for the field work and ensure that day-to-day activities are properly done and implemented.
POSITION DESCRIPTION/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribute to the planning, implementing, and monitoring of the project’s activities.
- Ensure the Nutrition and SBCC activities are appropriately planned, that delays and constraints are documented, and that solutions are identified.
- Participate in the design of the distribution plans and the implementation of project support in the respective locations as well as field visits to the project sites.
- Supervise the distribution process, ensure all commodities reach all distribution points, and submit daily distribution reports to the governorate Coordinator.
- Conduct regular field visits to project sites to provide technical oversights and assist the project management team in identifying issues that need timely action and support at different levels.
- Assist in documenting and sharing lessons learned for future Nutrition and SBCC project improvement.
- Contact with governorate Coordinator and project manager for any problems in the field.
- Conduct coordination meetings with the DHO to take the required permits to facilitate the work of the distribution points and give them the monthly report.
- Follow up the complaints from Third Part Monitoring (TPM) and respond to them.
- Build CHNVs capacity in key areas including during the field visits.
- Submit weekly and monthly reports.
- Conduct regular field visits to the distribution points (DP) and monitoring the daily activities of the project.
- Raise the need of BSFP registers and records for distribution points.
- Any other duties and tasks as required.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree (Medical background)
- Experience in community mobilization and capacity building
- 1-2 years of community work experience, preferably related to the type of project
- Excellent skills in monitoring the implementation of program activities.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication verbally and in writing as well as interpersonal skills
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly to field sites
- Become conversant with various generic tools such as assessment, survey techniques, and questionnaires.
- Ability to identify potential problems before they occur. Proactive in preparation and uses initiative in response.
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic, knowledge of English is desirable.
- Good computer skills.
