ABOUT FMF:

The Field Medical Foundation (FMF) has been operating in Yemen for since 2012 during even the most dangerous peak of the conflict in the region. Our staff of dedicated professionals and passionate volunteers are the helping hand that delivers aid from local and/or international partners to those who require it the most, in a country that was already suffering before the war. Today we have helped humanitarian aid reach the hands of more than 9 million vulnerable people in Yemen to help them not only to survive but also to rebuild their lives. We aim to provide a comprehensive approach to providing aid through interventions, which is why we work in almost all sectors of international emergency relief.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Driver is working under the Security & Fleet Officer, the Driver is responsible for ensuring compliance with FMF internal policies and procedures as well as donor regulations.

POSITION DESCRIPTION/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drive FMF passengers as required, take proper care of assigned vehicles, and ensure the safety of the passengers at all times.
• Carry out routine vehicle maintenance checks on a daily basis to ensure proper upkeep of vehicles and immediately notify the line manager of any damage or fault on the vehicle.
• Maintain the cleanliness of FMF vehicles at all times, both internally and externally.
• Drive in a safe and reasonable manner following the standard speed limits set by FMF at all times and report any accidents
• Fill out the vehicle logbook and ensure passenger signature for every trip
• Knowing and respecting the security rules related to vehicle movements, specifically those related to, checkpoints and roadblocks.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• High Secondary School
• Driving license B (BE, B1) held for at least 7 years.
• Languages:
  – Arabic – proficiency.
  – English-language – Basic.
