Dr. Al-Khidr welcomed the participants, stressing the importance of such training workshops to raise the level of competence of the trainees and acquire guidelines and ethics in their work of GBV, which will contribute to the collection of important information that will be useful in drawing up plans and projects and Provide quality services.

In her speech, Dr. Shafika Abdo Al-Wahsh, the head of the National Committee for Women, praised the efforts exerted in organizing such training workshops that contribute to reflecting the image clearly for the suffering of women in our country due to war and displacement and the lack of a safe and stable environment. Dr. Al-Kamal said that such training workshops are beneficial in building a database that will help donor organizations and their civil society partners to better guide humanitarian projects to their beneficiaries. She thanked UNFPA for supporting the workshop and the field medical institution for its efforts and activities in supporting women. And society.

For her part, Dr. Huda Ali Alawi, Director of the Center for Women Research and Training at the University of Aden, said that the course aims to empower trainees in the process of GBV and gathering information in a scientific way, pointing out that the increasing phenomenon of GBV because of the situation Our country because of war and conflict and its consequences.

In her speech, Dr.Maha Obadi noted that the training workshop is funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and in partnership with the Women’s Research and Training Center, University of Aden. It targets 36 trainees from 12 governorates over two days as part of the GBV activities.
