The Field Medical Foundation (FMF) has been operating in Yemen for since 2012 during even the most dangerous peak of the conflict in the region. JOB DESCRIPTION

The Project Assistant will support the implementation of FMF’s CHAF 5 Flood Response project in Marib. The role focuses on coordinating field activities, managing beneficiary data, supporting cash distribution, monitoring progress, and ensuring accountability and compliance with FMF and donor standards. The position plays a key role in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) to affected families.

POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Implementation and Coordination

  • Lead the planning and coordinating of daily field operations across target camps in Marib City and Al-Wadi District.
  • Coordinate with the Executive Unit, CCCM partners, and community committees to identify and verify affected households.
  • Ensure that beneficiary registration, verification, and selection follow FMF and CHAF eligibility criteria.
  • Organize and oversee cash distribution logistics, ensuring adherence to protection and accountability standards.
  • Liaise with FMF finance dept., the FSP and FMF mobile teams to facilitate safe and transparent distribution.

Monitoring, Reporting, and Accountability

  • Conduct PDM, supervise and assist the collecting of beneficiary feedback.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including beneficiary lists, verification forms, and distribution reports.
  • Prepare daily and weekly activity updates and submit progress summaries.
  • Support MEAL and Safeguarding teams in implementing the Community Feedback and Response Mechanism (CFRM).
  • Ensure that all project documentation is properly filed and stored according to data protection standards and protocols.

Representation and Communication

  • Represent FMF at local coordination meetings (FSAC and the CMWG) and maintain strong relationships with community leaders and local authorities.
  • Communicate clearly with beneficiaries regarding entitlements, eligibility, and distribution schedules.
  • Identify and immediately report any complaints, fraud, or protection concerns to the line manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • High school degree or any other relevant subject or any related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in humanitarian or community-based projects (preferably in MPCA, protection, or WASH).
  • Prior experience in field coordination, data collection, or community engagement.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of Excel, Word, and Kobo/ODK tools.
  • Working knowledge of English is required, and fluency is preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure and travel frequently within Marib Governorate.
  • Demonstrated commitment to humanitarian principles, accountability, Safeguarding and PSEA.
