JOB DESCRIPTION: 

FMF is implementing a Youth Health Project in three governorates (Aden, Hadramout, Taiz) aims to scale up the integrated and adolescent-friendly reproductive health service delivery points to meet the emergency needs of women, Youth, adolescents, and girls.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Aggregate and maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date information for effective project design, implementation, management, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of collected data to ensure reliability.
  • Assist in developing new data collection tools to facilitate efficient information retrieval.
  • Identify gaps in information management and recommend corrective actions to enhance data quality.
  • Conduct data collection audits to capture necessary data while avoiding unnecessary collection.
  • Maintain comprehensive records related to data management processes.
  • Establish and maintain databases and spreadsheets aligned with project requirements.
  • Ensure project and office documentation adheres to organizational policies and regulations.
  • Assist in generating reports and analyze data for decision-making purposes.
  • Follow data protection protocols diligently to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Assist with statistical data when required.
  • Build the capacity of the field team in data collection processes.
  • Collaborate with field teams and staff to resolve data discrepancies or issues.
  • Support the implementation of new Health Information System (HIS) features or upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to data entry or system usage.
  • Follow organizational policies and procedures related to data management and privacy

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • A university degree in fields such as Computer Science, Information Management, or Technology is required.
  • 2 years of experience in data management, , or related fields.
  • Experience working with international NGOs is preferred.
  • Familiarity with health-related organizations is helpful.
  • Satisfactory level of English is essential for reporting.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with data collection tools such as KOBO Toolbox and DHIS2 or similar platforms preferable.
  • Knowledge of statistical programs for data analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration within teams.
  • Effective organizational skills to manage data and reporting.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.
