The Field Medical Foundation (FMF) has been operating in Yemen for since 2012 during even the most dangerous peak of the conflict in the region. Our staff of dedicated professionals and passionate volunteers are the helping hand that delivers aid from local and/or international partners to those who require it the most, in a country that was already suffering before the war. Today we have helped humanitarian aid reach the hands of more than 9 million vulnerable people in Yemen to help them not only to survive but also to rebuild their lives. We aim to provide a comprehensive approach to providing aid through interventions, which is why we work in almost all sectors of international emergency relief.

POSITION OVERVIEW 

The Junior HR Assistant provides support to the Human Resources department and assists in various HR functions according to the instructions of the supervisor and FMF rules to ensure efficient department human resource support to FMF staff

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Assist in filling new staff personnel documents, including facilitating the completion of required forms.
  • Compiling and updating employee records (hard and soft copies)
  • Ensure that all files are securely scanned and kept safe. 
  • Responsible for organizing and arranging records and files in a systematic and efficient manner.
  • Provides support to who require assistance in accessing, indexing, and retrieving documents.
  • Assist with implementation of recruitment processes (reviewing resumes, Scheduling job interviews, interviewing, preparation of outcome reports, reference checks and background screenings …etc.)
  • Prepare employee offers and contracts
  • Assist in conducting orientation sessions for new hires.
  • Ensure clearance and debriefing is carried out for exiting staff.
  • Assist in staff development/Trainings activities.
  • Supports the Human Resources team in following up the performance Evaluation process for FMF staff
  • Act as an active substitution for HR team when required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • One year of experience in HR principles and practices or related area is required.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • V. Good in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • English language skill is required.
