The Field Medical Foundation (FMF) has been operating in Yemen for since 2012 during even the most dangerous peak of the conflict in the region. Our staff of dedicated professionals and passionate volunteers are the helping hand that delivers aid from local and/or international partners to those who require it the most, in a country that was already suffering before the war. Today we have helped humanitarian aid reach the hands of more than 9 million vulnerable people in Yemen to help them not only to survive but also to rebuild their lives. We aim to provide a comprehensive approach to providing aid through interventions, which is why we work in almost all sectors of international emergency relief.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a potential project assistant to support the coordination, implementation and reporting of the FFT project activities.
Duties and Responsibilits:
- Coordinate and cooperate with local authorities and community committees in the target areas to identify the needs and select the target trainees according to the criteria.
- Assist in activities planning alongside the project.
- Collect and analyze project data including preparation of graphs and visual data from field teams.
- Assist the Project Officer in following up the activities at field level are in accordance with the plans.
- Maintain safe and easy archiving mechanism of all project documents.
- Provide the project Officer with all data and updated information weekly, monthly, and when needed.
- Handle requests for information and data related to the assigned project.
- Support all project daily activities.
- Support the circulation of relevant information, reports, memos and any other related document as well as with the partners and other stakeholders.
- Conduct regular follow-up with the project beneficiaries.
- Monitor and evaluate the outputs of the training programs and activities, with the support of the MEAL Department, and determine the extent to which the training objectives set for the training programs have been achieved and the extent to which the training is efficient in achieving this, and to determine the extent to which participants have benefited and gained practical experience and skills in the field of their specializations and also to raise reports to the project management about any deviation from the project plan defined for implementation.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments and workshops related to project activities.
- Attend meetings of the project partners and stakeholders where appropriate.
- Perform assigned related task by the supervisor and project management
Position Requirements:
- University degree in business administration, social studies, relevant fields or equivalent.
- One-year experience in the field of livelihoods, with familiarity with working in cash for work with INGOs/NGOs.s.
- Demonstrated capacities to establish and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with colleagues, communities and beneficiaries, government officials, local organizations and other stakeholders.
- English-language proficiency (speaking, reading, writing).
- Good writing and reporting skills.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Power point).
- Ability to deal and communicate with people from a different cultural background
- Ability to solve issues and problems
- Ability to travel independently to the targeted governorates when required
