Background
FMF is a non-profit and non-governmental organization aiming to provide health, nutrition, food security and protection services as a humanitarian response to the escalating socio-economic situation in Yemen since 2012.
FMF will implement a YHF funded project entitled: “Integrated Health, Nutrition, C4D, and Protection services to internally displaced people in Dhubab district in Taiz governorate”
Position Summary
FMF is implementing Health, Nutrition, C4D and protection project in Taiz governorate in Dhubab district to deliver quality life-saving services for Dhubab district host and IDP communities. Under the direct management of Log Assistant, the storekeeper manages receipt, storage, safe-keeping and delivery of goods, materials, tools and equipment used by FMF.
Position description/ key responsibilities:
- Monitor the storage facilities and infrastructure both from inside and outside: locate damages and propose the necessary repairs
- Supervise cleaning and regular disinfection of storage spaces
- Ensure adequate ventilation of the spaces
- Monitor the quality of products at the time of receipt. Put aside non-compliant or infected products and report to the logistics assistant
- Regularly monitor the quality of products during storage. Pay special attention to expiration dates
- In conjunction with the Log-Admin Assistant, make provisions for the staff and necessary equipment for loading / unloading
- Supervise the team of daily workers charged with storage activities
- Draft or complete dispatch and receipt documents in compliance with FMF standards
- Monitor incoming and outgoing equipment
- Maintain updated inventory lists, and all other related stock documents.
- Participate in monthly inventories of stored goods and equipment and reconciliation with what should be in stock
- Update stock Report on daily bases and sent to the line manager at the end of each month.
- Draft activity and inventory reports and forward them to the line manager
- Other duties as assigned.
Position requirements
- Secondary school or diploma.
- Vocational training in administration or logistics, or equivalent experience.
- Good command of English.
- Computer literacy.
- Minimum one years’ experience in storekeeping.
- Team-management experience an asset.
- Good knowledge on Office package: Excel, Word
