Background
FMF is a non-profit and non-governmental organization aiming to provide health, nutrition, food security and protection services as a humanitarian response to the escalating socio-economic situation in Yemen since 2012.
Duties and Responsibilities: –
- Ensure quality and timely field level implementation of the Food Security programme against set objectives, targets and work plans.
- Assist the DPM in developing project specific strategies, tools, systems and plans.
- Actively monitor the project activities through field visits, surveys and identify bottlenecks and take timely decisions to resolve issues, and/or refer to relevant officials for timely resolution.
- Oversee the collection and timely reporting of data and statistics for the programme in line with FMF guidelines and according to donor requirements.
- Provide support towards implementation of the WFP food security programme and prevention programme in line with the national protocols and WFP guidelines.
- Submit weekly field data and report to the Project manager.
- Report any progress and any problems in a timely manner.
- Participate in proposal writing and budget development processes for food security programme.
- Ensure the capacity building of the team through on-job training, technical guidance, and coaching sessions while ensuring staff performance evaluation plans are developed.
- Monitor staffing needs and assist the recruitment of field staff and support staff development through mentoring to enhance the capacity of project.
- Ensure appropriate support to the field team by regular field visits and provide targeted technical feedback.
- Track implementation and analyze reports from the CBT and GFD to contribute to the preparation of accurate and timely weekly, monthly and annual reporting on project activities that enables informed decision making and consistency of information presented to FMF management and donors.
- Perform any other duties as required under the Country office FSL portfolio.
- Assist the DPM in supervise the nutrition team.
Job requirement:
- A university degree in the field of humanitarian assistance and/ or development, economics and management, political and social studies with a management focus.
- 4 – 7 years of experience in food security program implementation.
- Strong understanding of the humanitarian emergency operating context, including Sphere, the humanitarian system, security, and program management.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, oral and written communication skills.
- Team-oriented and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to organize and prioritize a variety of initiatives
- Proven experience in project design and implementation, proposal-writing, budgeting and financial management.
