About The Project
According to 2019 Humanitarian Needs , acute malnutrition among children under the age of 5 is estimated at just over 2 million children, including nearly 360,000 Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) cases. Given that a child with severe acute malnutrition is 11 times more at risk of death than a healthy child, preventing, detecting and treating malnutrition among children and improving IYCF practices are essential life-saving interventions that will contribute significantly to reducing the impact of the ongoing conflict on children in Yemen. Due to the current situation, FMF is proposing a project that aims to detect, prevent and treat acute malnutrition among the most vulnerable population (children under five ‘ land pregnant and lactating women (PLW) ).
Tasks and Responsibilities :
1. Provide technical support and assistance in the development, management and facilitation of the implementation of an integrated program communication strategy, plan of action and activities for strategic communication and promotion for social and behavioural change in support of program delivery.
2. Manage and coordinate community activities in coordination with GHO, M.T. teams .
3. Develop and maintain effective communication.
4. Conduct the trainings, monthly meeting and proceed to allowances payment for CVs and CHVs .
5. Collect CVs and CHVs reports and insure the data entry.
6. Participate in training preparations and supervision.
7. Support to program activities in the field .
8. Field Supervision Visit on volunteers work to improve programme services .
9. Follow up and raise the voluntary success of successful in the supervision of government coordinator .
10. Increase Community awareness about Health , Nutrition , Child Protection , Wash and Education .
11. Participate in Community Mobilization .
12. Assist in the work of Campaigns , Focus Group Discussions , festival in the community by Volunteer .
13. Assist Program Staff to facilitate any activities needed to improve program quality .
Knowledge and Experience:
– Public health , nutrition , nursery , medical , any related field to community for development – Extensive experience in C4D training and multi-sectorial strategic planning and management of C4D initiatives.
– 3 years field experience in Behaviour and Social Communication.
– Specialist on Behaviour and Social Communication .
– Able to Communicate, work with people and drive for results
– Ability to write success story in both English and Arabic language .
– Be a team player and ready to collaborate with others in a positive manner.
