About The Project: 

According to 2019 Humanitarian Needs  , acute malnutrition among children under the age of 5 is estimated at just over 2 million children, including nearly 360,000 Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) cases.  Given that a child with severe acute malnutrition is 11 times more at risk of death than a healthy child, preventing, detecting and treating malnutrition among children and improving IYCF practices are essential life-saving interventions that will contribute significantly to reducing the impact of the ongoing conflict  on children  in  Yemen.   Due to the current situation, FMF is proposing a project that aims to detect, prevent and treat acute malnutrition among the most vulnerable population (children under five ‘ land pregnant and lactating women (PLW) ).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain good lines of communication and relationships with Governorate GHO, DHO and local authorities.
• Ensures that project management methods, Activities, and implantation are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee and ensure quality implementation of Activities involved in the project.
• Coordinates and review data, activity results, and documentation with the team and Project Manager.
• Supervise and be responsible for all technical aspects of daily project implementation, ensure they are completed in a timely, efficient and accurate manner.
• Coordinates and supports other team in all issues related to project implementation.
• Carries out frequent field visits to targeted districts to manage and supervise project’s activities and gives feedback and guidance of visit
• Keeps Project Manager informed of progress achieved and challenges faced (through regular reports).
• Prepares regular reports and documentation of activities conducted.
• Ensure a safe working environment for all people involved in project implementation and maintain the highest standards of behavior when working with the community targeted.
• Ability to coordinate all aspects of an event including logistics, correspondence, and financial reports.

Qualification, Skills and Abilities Required

• At least 4 years’ professional experience in a comparable position.
• Strong experience in coordinating and planning of Project activities.
• Strong team leadership and technical expertise are critical.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, tasks efficiently.
• Maintains focus on priorities.
• Demonstrates excellence in both oral and written communications.
• Good working knowledge of computer applications (e.g. MS Office and Excel).
• Flexible to work under pressure and remote areas
• Preferable from the same Gov
