{"id":4197,"date":"2021-10-12T11:47:31","date_gmt":"2021-10-12T11:47:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fmfyemen.org\/en\/?p=4197"},"modified":"2021-10-12T11:47:31","modified_gmt":"2021-10-12T11:47:31","slug":"otp-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fmfyemen.org\/en\/otp-2\/","title":{"rendered":"OTP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Name Job: OTP <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Location: Aden<\/strong><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Status of Contract:<\/strong> One year with possibility for extension.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadline: 18-10-2021<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Field medical foundation (FMF)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>FMF is a non-profit and non-governmental organization aiming to provide health, nutrition, food security and protection services as a humanitarian response to the escalating socio-economic situation in Yemen since 2012.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>JOB OVERVIEW<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To accurately record personal and anthropometrical data as well and calculate nutritional indices for Children and Pregnant\/lactating women presenting at OTP\/Nutrition sites.<\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>OTP Planning<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct quality anthropometric measures at the OTP sites on the referral beneficiaries following the initial screening exercise while ensuring efficient and effective workflow.<\/li>\n<li>Engage CHV in referring malnourished children and pregnant and lactating women special attention to the basic health units.<\/li>\n<li>Assisting community in identification and referral of acute malnutrition,<\/li>\n<li>Ensures that nutritional protocol is strictly followed in terms of admission and discharge criteria.<\/li>\n<li>Properly fill in the registration books and monitoring cards of each beneficiary with personal and anthropometric data,<\/li>\n<li>Assisting in monitoring the nutrition situation in areas of work, including participating in nutrition assessments and surveillance as required,<\/li>\n<li>Performing any other responsibilities deemed appropriate by the OTP.<\/li>\n<li>Screening of under-fives and perform health screening of all severely malnourished children as per the guideline for admission in OTP.<\/li>\n<li>To take the history of a malnourished patient, conduct clinical and physical examination,<\/li>\n<li>Refer those with major risks and medical complications immediately.<\/li>\n<li>In collaboration with the Community Health Volunteers, provide health and nutrition education on the proper utilization of supplementary food, child-feeding practices, and causes of malnutrition, diarrhea and other related illnesses to the caretakers of the malnourished children admitted to OTP and to all others attending the program.<\/li>\n<li>Investigate the causes of non-responding and refer children to Stabilization Centre (SC)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Handling of anthropometric tools and reporting<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proper use and recording of OTP\/TSFP cards and resisters,<\/li>\n<li>Collect accurate and reliable data from beneficiaries,<\/li>\n<li>Storage and sharing of data with the relevant project staff,<\/li>\n<li>Keep proper record of daily attendance in the register book clearing showing the deaths, cured, defaulters and the transfers,<\/li>\n<li>Update register books on weekly, monthly reports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Special skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Local language skills necessary,<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure and in a high-stress environment,<\/li>\n<li>Good interpersonal and communication skills,<\/li>\n<li>Flexible,<\/li>\n<li>Innovative<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Experience and Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be able to work as a team,<\/li>\n<li>Good with mothers and children,<\/li>\n<li>Punctuality, organization, honesty and reliability are essential<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Reporting<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The OTP is responsible for ensuring that the data of the beneficiaries are documented in the reporting tools:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Check the condition of anthropometric materials received or to be sent, and verify the accuracy of any previously inventory of the tools,<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for proper handling of weighing and measuring equipment.
