{"id":3399,"date":"2020-09-02T06:37:48","date_gmt":"2020-09-02T06:37:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fmfyemen.org\/en\/?p=3399"},"modified":"2020-09-02T06:37:48","modified_gmt":"2020-09-02T06:37:48","slug":"job-vacancy-food-security-assistant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fmfyemen.org\/en\/job-vacancy-food-security-assistant\/","title":{"rendered":"Job Vacancy : Food Security Assistant"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>Job title<\/strong> : Food Security Assistant<\/li>\n<li><strong>Work based on<\/strong>: Hadramout governorates<\/li>\n<li><strong>Deadline<\/strong> : 8 Sep 2020<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Field medical foundation (FMF)<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>FMF is a non-profit and non-governmental organization aiming to provide health, nutrition, food security and protection services as a humanitarian response to the escalating socio-economic situation in Yemen since 2012.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop food distribution plans and timetables in coordination with district coordinators under<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>close supervision from the food security officer.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare accurate lists of targeted areas\/villages\/neighborhoods for food distribution with<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>detailed justifications in close collaboration with the district coordinators, under close supervision from the food security officer.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist food security officer indirectly supervise field processes to ensure effective and smooth<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>food distribution in the FDPs in the targeted districts.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop a comfortable, smooth and organized mechanism for food distribution to beneficiary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>households in collaboration with the deputy project manager and food security officer.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in follow up on sound and comfortable environment in the food distribution points<\/li>\n<li>Ensure timely preparation of the activity including community information, input distribution<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>and training plan, briefing\/training of local partners (if any) and carrying out logistical and administrative arrangements<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor, evaluate and suggest improvements to increase the efficiency of project activities<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for identification the registered beneficiary households lists in collaboration with<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>the data entry assistant.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in Issue stock requests according to daily distribution plans.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in plan and follow up on the activities of the food distribution.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the breakdown of the budget of daily labor wages (organizers, clerks, and porters\u2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>etc.).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in paying the wages of daily labor and ensure proper invoicing in close collaboration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>with the food security officer.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Directly supervise the work of District Coordinators, distribution clerks, organizers,<\/li>\n<li>Schedule regular visits to beneficiaries of food security and FDPs.<\/li>\n<li>Train staff on the relevant subject.<\/li>\n<li>Provide briefings and debriefings for field staff.<\/li>\n<li>Provide monthly staff assessment for supervised staff.<\/li>\n<li>Provide daily food distribution reports during the distribution period and submit to the food<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>security officer.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assistant and follow up on the implementation of the activity.<\/li>\n<li>Any other assignments as directed by the line manager.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree a discipline relevant to food security<\/li>\n<li>+2 years of relevant work experience.<\/li>\n<li>Work experience in food security projects is preferable.<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience working for an NGO.<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with information management systems and databases.<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information and respond appropriately to questions from senior managers in the field.<\/li>\n<li>Ability and willingness to travel to project sites as needed<\/li>\n<li>Strong English and Arabic skills, written and spoken.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prepare budget, write proposal and write reports in English is required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nApplicants should send a CV and covering letter, both in English, to Field Medical Foundation ( <strong>jobs@fmfyemen.org<\/strong> )with the title of the position you are applying for in the subject of email.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Job title : Food Security Assistant Work based on: Hadramout governorates Deadline : 8 Sep 2020 Field medical foundation (FMF) &#8230;
