Our staff of dedicated professionals and passionate volunteers are the helping hand that delivers aid from local and\/or international partners to those who require it the most, in a country that was already suffering before the war. Today we have helped humanitarian aid reach the hands of more than 9 million vulnerable people in Yemen to help them not only to survive but also to rebuild their lives. We aim to provide a comprehensive approach to providing aid through interventions, which is why we work in almost all sectors of international emergency relief.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><u>POSITION SUMMERY<\/u><\/strong><strong><u>:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To provide daily technical oversight, quality assurance, and progress monitoring for infrastructure activities\u2014including water networks, sanitation facilities, and structural rehabilitations\u2014ensuring compliance with agreed specifications, safety protocols, and donor regulations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><u>POSITION DESCRIPTION\/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Conduct daily field visits to project sites to supervise ongoing construction, rehabilitation, and installation works.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">\u00a0Ensure all works are executed in strict accordance with technical drawings, engineering specifications, work plans, and BoQs.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">\u00a0Verify the quality, quantity, and safety of all construction materials delivered to the field before implementation begins; reject materials failing to meet set standards.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">\u00a0Inspect and certify completed phases of work before approving contractor payment milestones.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Community Coordination &amp; Reporting<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">\u00a0Field-Level Liaison: Act as the primary technical focal point on the ground, coordinating closely with local authorities, community committees, and beneficiaries to ensure project ownership and smooth implementation.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">\u00a0Maintain detailed daily\/weekly site diaries, logbooks, and photo-documentation capturing progress, material logs, and workforce presence.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">\u00a0Prepare and submit weekly and monthly progress reports to the Project Manager, highlighting achievements, deviations from the work plan, and operational challenges.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Identify technical bottlenecks, design flaws, or implementation delays early and propose practical, context-appropriate engineering solutions.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Safety, Protection, and Accountability<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">\u00a0Ensure contractors adhere to strict Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards on-site to protect workers and community members.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Verify that infrastructure designs\u2014especially sanitation facilities\u2014are implemented with consideration for gender-segregation, accessibility for persons with disabilities, and protection safety standards<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">\u00a0\u00a0Weekly technical progress reports, complete with annotated photo-documentation and percentage-of-completion data.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Material verification logs and certified milestone completion certificates for contractors.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Final technical handover documentation upon project completion.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Supervise Hygiene Promotion Activity and CHVs in the target location.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a><strong><u><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:<\/mark><\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Education:<\/strong> University degree (Bachelor\u2019s or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Water\/Environmental Engineering, or a closely related technical field.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Experience:<\/strong> Minimum of 2\u20133 years of proven experience in supervising infrastructure projects, preferably in humanitarian or emergency response contexts.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Technical Skills:<\/strong> Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, preparing\/verifying BoQs, and operating CAD software (AutoCAD) or relevant engineering tools.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Core Competencies:<\/strong> Strong field-based problem-solving skills; excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to work effectively under pressure in remote or sensitive environments.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Languages<\/strong>: Fluency in local languages (written and spoken); professional working proficiency in English for reporting is highly desirable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><u>NOTE:<\/u><\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Applicants are requested to apply as soon as possible;
