Our staff of dedicated professionals and passionate volunteers are the helping hand that delivers aid from local and\/or international partners to those who require it the most, in a country that was already suffering before the war. Today we have helped humanitarian aid reach the hands of more than 9 million vulnerable people in Yemen to help them not only to survive but also to rebuild their lives. We aim to provide a comprehensive approach to providing aid through interventions, which is why we work in almost all sectors of international emergency relief.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong><u>POSITION SUMMARY:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The Child Protection Psychosocial Support (PSS) Assistant will support the implementation of structured psychosocial support activities within the Safe Healing and Learning Spaces (SHLS) in Al-Azariq and Al-Khawkha. The role contributes to promoting the emotional well-being, resilience, and positive coping mechanisms of vulnerable and at-risk children.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong><u>MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Supervision and Activity Oversight:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Supervise CP Facilitators and oversee the implementation of child-focused psychosocial and recreational activities within SHLS.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Ensure activities are structured, inclusive, age-appropriate, and aligned with child protection and psychosocial support standards.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Provide technical guidance and daily support to facilitators to strengthen quality programming.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Monitor activity implementation and participation to ensure a safe and supportive environment for children<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>PSS Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Facilitate structured psychosocial support and recreational activities for children in SHLS.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Support implementation of CP curricula and child-focused sessions.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Ensure activities are age-appropriate, inclusive, and child-friendly.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Monitor children\u2019s participation, behavior, and emotional well-being during sessions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Child Well-Being and Support:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Identify children showing signs of distress or protection concerns and refer them appropriately.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Provide Psychological First Aid (PFA) when needed.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Promote positive coping skills, resilience, and social interaction among children.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Community and Caregiver Engagement:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Engage caregivers and community members in child well-being and positive parenting activities.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Support awareness sessions related to child protection, psychosocial well-being, and available services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Safeguarding and Protection:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Ensure all activities are conducted in line with child safeguarding and protection principles.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Maintain confidentiality and apply Do No Harm approaches in all interactions.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Report any child protection concerns through established referral pathways<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Reporting and Documentation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Maintain attendance records and activity documentation.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Prepare regular updates and activity reports.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Support data collection and monitoring processes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\"><a><strong><u><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:<\/mark><\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Diploma or Bachelor\u2019s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or related field.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Minimum 1\u20132 years of experience in psychosocial support or child-focused programming.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Experience facilitating activities with children in humanitarian or community settings is preferred.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Strong facilitation and communication skills.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Ability to work effectively with children and caregivers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Core Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Child-friendly communication and facilitation skills.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Empathy, patience, and teamwork.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Ability to manage group activities effectively.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Flexibility and problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\"><strong><u>NOTE:<\/u> Applicants are requested to apply as soon as possible;
