Struggling to Make Ends Meet<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Ali Salem Bazebyan, 41, lives in a modest home with his father, siblings, and two children in Hajar District, Hadramout Governorate. The family endures challenging living conditions marked by the absence of a stable income, relying entirely on daily labor to meet their needs. Although they own a few sheep, their lack of experience and the difficulty of providing proper healthcare for the livestock have resulted in repeated losses due to disease and the death of some animals, further exacerbating their struggles.<\/p>\n

A Turning Point Through Training<\/strong>
\nAli Bazebyan says, \u201cWe used to lose livestock to diseases, but after the training, I learned how to protect and care for them and ensure proper feeding and fattening. This training changed my life and my family\u2019s life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Building Knowledge and Skills<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Ali participated in an intensive livestock farming training course organized by the FMF in collaboration with the WFP as part of the Food to Resilience (FuTuRe) project. The training covered advanced livestock care techniques, healthy feeding methods, fattening strategies to boost productivity, and knowledge about common diseases and how to prevent and treat them.<\/p>\n

Financial and Practical Support<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The impact of the training extended beyond enhancing Ali\u2019s expertise. He also received financial support that enabled him to pay off accumulated debts and was granted several sheep as part of an economic empowerment initiative. This support alleviated his financial burden, allowing him to focus on improving and growing his flock. With the acquired knowledge about proper feeding, preventive vaccination programs, and disease diagnosis and treatment, Ali is now better equipped to succeed.<\/p>\n

A Vision for the Future<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Today, Ali views the future through a new lens. He has begun improving the health of his livestock and gradually increasing their numbers. He plans to sell part of the flock in the near future after fattening them, which will provide him with a steady income to improve his family\u2019s living conditions. In the long term, he hopes to expand his activity to include marketing and exporting livestock outside the governorate, achieving the financial independence and economic stability he has long dreamed of.<\/p>\n

Restoring Hope<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u201cThis training was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity\u2014not just to secure a new income source, but because it restored hope for me and my family for a better future,\u201d Ali says.<\/p>\n
