Our staff of dedicated professionals and passionate volunteers are the helping hand that delivers aid from local and\/or international partners to those who require it the most, in a country that was already suffering before the war. Today we have helped humanitarian aid reach the hands of more than 9 million vulnerable people in Yemen to help them not only to survive but also to rebuild their lives. We aim to provide a comprehensive approach to providing aid through interventions, which is why we work in almost all sectors of international emergency relief.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Project Objectives:\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>The community center officer will support and lead the implementation of all protection activities in the community center. With close coordination with the protection team, the community center officer supervises the Social Workers to assess the level of vulnerability and identify the need of the target people, and based on the assessment; the referral pathway will take place to meet this need.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position description\/ key responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ensure overall coordination and proper management of the CC and ensure all arrangements are taken for activities to be carried out in the center.<br \/>2.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ensure monthly &amp; weekly work plans are shared and implemented for proper implementation of activities within the center.\u00a0<br \/>3.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Coordinate with relevant FMF departments to guarantee the proper functioning of the CC in terms of maintenance, supplies, cleaning materials, storage capacity, etc.\u00a0<br \/>4.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Organize weekly\/monthly meetings to plan activities with the projects\u2019 teams, as well as regular meetings with CC support staff and logistics.<br \/>5.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Flag programmatic, operational, and technical constraints to the Project Manager in a timely manner and provide suitable solutions.<br \/>6.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ensure a proper, clean, and safe (including in terms of protection of data\/confidentiality) environment for beneficiaries and staff.<br \/>7.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Follow HR procedures for all staff, ensuring timely submission of documentation to HR and leave management.<br \/>8.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ensure day-to-day supervision of admin and support staff operating in the CC.<br \/>9.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Train staff on FMF procedures and ensure full understanding of the project scope and goals.\u00a0<br \/>10.\u00a0\u00a0Ensure the team in the respective sectors are working effectively together, mitigate in case of tensions and conflict and report immediately on HR-related issues.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>11. Ensure that a weekly\/monthly expenditure planning is prepared and timely delivered to the program management including expected costs for:<br \/>a.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Office running costs of the center (cleaning services and material, stationery, maintenance, equipment, IT, security, Human resources etc.).\u00a0<br \/>b.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Cost to deliver\/implement activities<br \/>c.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Manage responsibly the petty cash<br \/>12.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ensure that all other relevant administrative &amp; financial documentation (purchase requests, receipts) is completed accurately and timely as required.\u00a0<br \/>13.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Strengthen and ensure communication\/coordination among the project\u2019s teams, ensuring that there is a comprehensive link and mainstream between the different project components.<br \/>14.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Participate in all coordination meetings.<br \/>15.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Meet with other FMF projects staff as required: conduct punctual meetings for sharing ideas, and priorities with projects teams members.<br \/>16.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Maintain positive coordination and relationships with the donors and other partners by liaising and collaborating with other INGOs and NGOs when required \u2013 ensure up-to-date service maps for effective referral pathways.<br \/>17.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Promptly report to and coordinate with the program coordinator and Logistics department (if relevant) any security issue at the CC and any other case of special need, through all the communication means at disposal.<br \/>18.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Provide qualitative &amp; timely monthly reports to the Project Manager giving a comprehensive overview of the CC activities indicating the challenges and mitigating measures proposed or to be implemented, indicating issues related to HR, and referring to next month\u2019s planning, etc.<br \/>19.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Commit to participating in any other task in order to achieve the project\u2019s overall objective.<br \/>20.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Always ensure confidentiality and conduct all activities respectfully and sensitively to beneficiaries and staff.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position requirements<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>1. A university degree in social sciences or any other relevant subject or any related field.<br \/>2. 2 years of experience working with NGOs, particularly in the protection sector.<br \/>3. Experience in supervising field staff in challenging situations, carrying out professional team management, and providing capacity-building and training.<br \/>4. Strong experience working in protection in a humanitarian\/recovery, complex and volatile contexts.<br \/>5. Strong understanding of humanitarian principles and protection guidelines, and familiarity with case management principles, standards and procedures.<br \/>6. Experience in mainstreaming protection concepts within a humanitarian operation.<br \/>7. Strong organization, collaboration, representation and negotiation skills.<br \/>8. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.<br \/>9. Knowledge of the area of responsibility and understanding of local communities and customary rules.<br \/>10. Excellent observation, analytical and report writing skills.<br \/>11. Prior experience in working and\/or coordinating with other humanitarian organizations.<br \/>12. Native Arabic and strong English skills are essential.<br \/>13. Strong knowledge and skills of computer and prior experience working with smart data collection tools such as KOBO.<br \/>14. Readiness to commit and adhere to the values, mission and vision of FMF.<br \/>15. Be available for regular trainings provided by FMF and support in identifying staff training needs.<br \/>16. Respect confidentiality of data and information.<br \/>17. Attention to details and ability to communicate professionally and effectively &#8211; practical and problem-solver.<br \/>18. Able to ensure quality delivery in stressful environment, punctuality and respect for rules and procedures, and to adhere to deadlines.<br \/>19. Ability to deal with heavy work pressure.<br \/>20.
