International reports indicate that an estimated 17.8 million Yemenis need humanitarian assistance to provide safe sources of water and environmental sanitation services, including 12.6 million people who are in dire need of intensive support in this field.<\/p>\n

According to UNICEF reports, more than 2.5 million children are at risk of diarrheal diseases, while more than 1.3 million children are at risk of acute respiratory infections.<\/p>\n

Most people living in large cities suffer from a lack of water supply or complete interruption from the public network, in addition to poor or lack of sanitation and environmental sanitation services, especially in rural areas. These cities include the capital, Sana’a, Taiz, and Hodeidah. Worse are the continuous waves of displacement from regions of conflict and new conflicts.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″]

Over 15 million Yemenis lack safe water, risking waterborne deadly diseases.<\/p>\n

FMF\u2019s Strategic Objective:<\/strong> Meet urgent WASH needs and restore safe, sustainable water systems.<\/p>\n

Our Approach:<\/strong> FMF repairs and solarizes water systems, delivers safe water to communities, and runs hygiene promotion campaigns to prevent disease.<\/p>\n
