Yesterday , the CMAM training course in Lahj was launched which is considered one of the activities of supplementary nutrition project in Lahj, Abyan , Shabwah and Dhalea financed by World Food Programme WFP and executed by Field Medical Foundation FMF .
47 trainees from different districts participated in the course which starts on Saturday 17th October and ends on 22nd October .
The course started with a word from Dr. Ensegam Zain Alssaqaf , nutrition and programme coordinator in Lahj , who explained briefly the meaning of CMAM and its treatment , noting the high percentage of children ,pregnant and lactating mothers infected especially after the circumstances of the war .
Then , Dr. Mohammed Abdalbary , Supplementary nutrition project manager , spoke about the project and the importance of training health cadre who is capable of monitoring and treating CMAM cases .
